Sarah Hrovoski

Sarah Hrovoski is a woodworker and artist who utilizes traditional woodworking and craft techniques to explore our attraction and relationship to form, ranging from delight in spatial proportion and texture as well as subconscious response rooted in memory and emotion.

A career woodworker for over 15 years, she spent 6 years co-running a custom furniture and cabinetry shop in Baltimore, MD. Motivated by her personal experience as an underrepresented person in the trades, she taught classes and workshops to thousands of students over the span of 4 years at Station North Tool Library.

Two years ago Sarah founded Siluet, a small batch home goods line that sprang from the dream to create objects meant to enrich the lives of their owners through daily interaction.

Now based in Portland, OR, she continues to make unique custom furniture and larger commissioned artwork that strives to inspire connection and contemplation by merging the sensitivity of form, the tactile nature of material, and the heirloom quality of craft.
